According to Glassdoor and their research of more than 668000 online job applications that they received in a week in January of 2018, they did some analysis and found the five cities that are attracting the most Talent of people who are willing to relocate from out of their current location.
Here are the five most popular cities That people are trying to flock to in 2018:

San Francisco. People wanting to relocate to San Francisco are mostly moving from Los Angeles Sacramento New York City and Chicago and San Jose. This makes up 12.4% of all applications through Glassdoor.

New York City represents 8.4% of all applications and has people moving from Washington DC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston.

San Jose as people looking to move there from San Francisco, New York City, Dallas, San Diego, and Los Angeles. San Jose represents 6.9% of all applications.

Coming in at 4th Place is Los Angeles with the 6.8% of the job applications. people here are mostly moving from Riverside California, New York City, San Diego, San Jose, and San Francisco.

Washington DC represents the fifth-place spot at 4.3% of the applications. People looking to come here are mostly looking to leave Baltimore, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.

Almost a third of all applications started on Glassdoor or people looking to leave their current area, at 28.5%. Those are the places people are looking to go to. As you can see from the above numbers this represents a pretty big percentage of all applications. But here’s where people are looking to leave the most.

Providence Rhode Island gets over a half of the votes at 52.2%.
San Jose California gets 47.6%.
Riverside California coming in close at 47.3%.
Baltimore Maryland coming in a close 4th at 45.6%.
Sacramento California it’s 44.4% or respectable 5th Place.

Glassdoor also found that younger workers are more likely to be willing to relocate. on average the older a worker is the less likely they’re willing to move for a new career.
